On the weekend of November 20-22 three of Central District Cyclery's top talent hijacked a green Buick for some south of the border mountain biking fun.

Day 1 trail update: Brown County State Park was in great condition yesterday. Firm, tacky clay with light leaf cover made for a killer 23 mile ride. After driving from Grand Rapids we arrived at the park around 1:45 in the afternoon and parked at the Rally Camp trail head.
Out ride started on Limekiln trail then Walnut trail which connects to the Hesitation Point Connebctor trail at the Hesitation Point lookout.
From there we rode down the HP connector to Green Valley trail counter clockwise to the North Tower loop stopping at the overlook for snacks (Mike and Ike's) and pictures of our bikes.

The views are amazing; Indiana has some really good state parks. The $9 entry fee for our car was a bargain. After the break at the North Tower lookout we rode down to the Aynes loop which is the only trail we rode clockwise for the day.
This is a good place to mention that the official MTB tourism map purchased at the Hesitation Point Bike shop for $7.50 is critical. I have only rode here once and would be lost without this map.

By the time we made it up and then down the Aynes loop Erika had her lights on, Greg and I turned our lights on by the time we were climbing back up the Hesitation Point connector again. Our parking spot at the south end of the trail system made it so we had a simple out and back of Limekiln/Walnut/HPC trails. In the dark we skipped Walnut/Limekiln and opted for the road to finish off the ride.
The weather forecast is calling for a solid day of raining at the State Park Saturday so we are heading to Louisville to ride in the Mega Cavern bike park.
